Unable to activate after update

  • I have installed the latest update and am unable to activate it. I get the following messages:

    Database update has failed. Please make sure, that database user, defined in wp-config.php has permissions, to make changes (ALTER TABLE) to the database.

    Error encountered: Field wp_ai1ec_events.post_id is of incompatible type

    Any advise would be appreciated.

  • Hi Steve — I have exactly this issue in a Multisite installation. We are using PHP 7.4 with MySQL 8 (curious if your site is similar). I put in a ticket with Time.ly but have not answer yet.

    I have exactly this issue in a New wordpress Installation und a first
    “All-in-One Event Calendar” plugin
    Installation. I’am using PHP 7.4 with MySQL 8.
    Have anyone a Answers

    I contacted the plugin authors who said they could not supply any help as this is a free plugin and suggested that I buy the paid version. I am currently trailing other plugins who’s support team seem very helpful.
