    Hi there,

I am trying to activate for the first time Jetpack at my site, but unfortunately I cannot!
At Jetpack Dashboard I am receiving this error: WordPress reports no SSL support
At my hosting error logs I am receiving the following error:
    Error 500 - POST /wp-json/jetpack/v4/connection/register HTTP/1.1

My site has SSL support, as you can see. What can be the problem then?

    Thanks,
    Savvas

    Hi @savvasha

I believe this is an issue with your server, not the SSL certificate on your site.

Are you seeing any errors when you go to “Tools > Site Health”? There may be errors showing that will help narrow this done.

Additionally, are you using any security plugins on your site? If so, could you temporarily try disabling those to rule out a potential plugin conflict?

    Hi @lastsplash ,

    Thanks for your response.

At Site Health I am receiving the followint two Jetpack related errors:

      1. Your server did not successfully connect to the Jetpack server using HTTP Please ask your hosting provider to confirm your server can make outbound requests to jetpack.com.
      2. Your server did not successfully connect to the Jetpack server using HTTPS Please ask your hosting provider to confirm your server can make outbound requests to jetpack.com.

I am not using any security plugins. I even try to disable ALL my plugins except Jetpack, but with no luck.

I opened a ticket with my hosting provider asking them to give it a look also.

    Thanks,
    Savvas

    Hi @savvasha

Looking at what you shared from Site Health confirms that this is likely a server issue. Reaching out to your hosting provider is the next step, so thanks for doing that.

Let us know what you find out.
