Hi! I placed a “hold” on my plug ins via FTP because I was having the whitescreen of death invade my site…and was instructed to then re-try them one at a time.

Any suggestions how to do this? I went into the backend of my site and tried to reinstall 1 or 2 and got the message that I am unable to create a directory, and the plug in fails.

Do I need to delete them via FTP, and if so, will it do anything to the rest of the site code??

I’m really new to WP…thanks so much!

  • Change the name on the plugins folder back to plugins – then go to your dashboard and start reactivating one by one.
