    I have made the attempts in Chrome and Microsoft Edge and I have used two different computers. I receive the following message:

  • Hello, oklalaw, & welcome to the WordPress support forum.

    Firstly, thank you *so* much for providing a site url–I don’t think most folks understand how helpful that can be, especially when dealing w/problems like this.

    My own suspicion is that the problem involves a plugin. Please try renaming your plugins folder, either via FTP or via your host’s file manager, by appending a 1 or a .old, to see if the problem disappears. If it does, then what you’ll need to do is to rename the plugins folder back to the original name, but rename all folders inside it in a similar fashion. Clear your cache & try adding a new page after each rename until you can’t, at which point you’ve found the problematic plugin. If you’re using some sort of editor/formatting plugin, that would be my first guess as to where the conflict lies.

    I notice you’re using the Genesis theme framework. We cannot support that on the WordPress support forum, & you may therefore need to seek support from them to resolve this if my suggestions don’t help.

    Another thing that can be of assistance in this regard is to open your wp-config.php file, again either via your hosting provider’s control panel or via FTP (& preferably secure FTP) & change wp-debug from false to true. Then try adding a new page & see if the error messages are different, i.e., if perhaps the problematic component is named.This is a serious security risk, so turn it off immediately, please, once you’re finished.

    Please let us know if we may assist further.

    Hi there!

    I had the same problem and did, what abletec suggested. I found out that in my case the plugin ?Google Sitemap by BestWebSoft“ was the reason.

    I replaced it with ?Google XML Sitemaps“ and now it works!
    Thanks!!! ??

    Branko

    Thanks. I found the same thing – Google Sitemap by BestWebSoft was the problem. I deactivated it and the problem went away.

    Thanks a lot, got the same problem
    “Google Sitemap by BestWebSoft” still makes that problem after 4 month

    @brankocanak

    Thanks, I followed your suggestion about the bestwebsoft plugin, and my error messages are gone too.
