I just installed and activated this plugin. I also linked my Constant Contact account to the form. When I go down and try to add some more fields to capture, like first and last name, nothing happens when I click the “Add Another Field” button! Not sure what is going on.

I am running WordPress 5.4.1. I downloaded the latest version of this plugin via the online plugin management system. Thoughts?

Sounds like possibly a javascript error or conflict occurring with your install. Just tried on 5.4.1 with version 1.8.2 and am not experiencing any issues.

Are you familiar with your browser’s dev tools at all? Or willing to open them up with some step by step instructions if needed, to see if anything is showing in the console?

I would be happy to try and debug. I thought WP Forms might be conflicting, so I deactivated it, but still had the issue. I did a work around by using Inline Forms I setup on Constant Contact. I’m using Chrome. I’m not currently familiar with what sort of debug options you’d want me to turn on. Can easily follow steps. Thanks!

If you right click on the page, you should see the popup menu and an “Inspect” menu item available. This will reveal a panel that will make not much sense unless you’re a developer type, but we’ll make do.

Once that is open you should see some words along the top like “Elements”, “Console”, “Sources”, etc. What we want is the Console tab, so click that word.

At that point, for the sake of a refreshed log, let’s refresh the editor screen for where you’re editing a Constant Contact Form, and then go click the “Add Another Field” button.

If there are any parts of the output in the console that are showing up as red text/background, that’s going to be the interesting parts for me. May be easiest to just screenshot and share the image than try to type it out.

I know there are a number of image sharing sites out there, or we can also get them emailed private as well if needed.

I actually was able to figure this one out! FYI…it was an incompatibility issue with some BoldGrid plugins that were installed. I wasn’t using them (someone else installed before I came along) so I deactivated them and Voila! I appreciate your resonses!

Awesome to hear. I suspect they had at least some resources being loaded on the page that were conflicting with what we have, given that we also use the post editor screen as well.

Let us know if you need anything else.
