Unable to add Draft Products to Bundle

  • I don’t want the world to see the products in our new, not-yet-ready store until it’s fully ready, so we’re entering Products as Drafts for now in WooCommerce.

    When I go to create a Product Bundle using YITH Product Bundles, in the “Bundle Options” tab, the dropdown to search for Products does not show any if they’re Drafts (at least, I think that’s why my attempts to search for existing Products are coming up empty). This prevents me from being able to add Bundles until after the online store goes live, which is inconvenient at best.

    The whole point is that we don’t want end-users seeing an incomplete store, ever. The plan was to do a bulk-Publish of all Products just before putting the store in the Menu.

    I can see the desirability of excluding Draft Products from Bundles (to prevent errors such as when a Published Bundle includes one or more Draft Products), but perhaps add an “Include Drafts?” checkbox to the left of the drop-down to allow those to be included in the search?

    Hi Joel MMCC,
    the behavior you are asking for is quite unique, as using it could cause some publishing issues, and WooCommerce itself avoid it with grouped products. We encourage you to follow the normal procedure for both a technical reason, and a publishing system limit.
