Unable to add new product

    Hello
    We have a woocommerce site using the latest version of the plugin plus the latest version of WordPress but for some reason we can no longer add new products.
    What is happening is that when we go to add a new product instead of the usual publish button to save the product and make it live that button is now replaced with a button that says “Submit for Review”. If I fill out all the info for a new product and click the Submit for Review button I get a screen that says “you are not allowed to edit this post”. I am logged in as an administrator, the original administrator for the site. This just started happening. Any help understanding what is going on would be appreciated.

  • Hello pdxwebdesign,

    Just to tell you I have the same issue since yesterday.
    Can you confirm if:
    1 – Your Ability to manage Users is restristed (Unability to save some fields of the user profile as an Admin)
    2 – Your Ability to upload new Images is prohibited
    3 – Unability to create a new account as a user

    Yes I was having all these issues but I found out it wasn’t a Woocommerce issue. When I disabled all plugins this iissue went away. The offending plugin for me was “Page Comments Off Please” which I have removed and site functionality has returned to normal.

    Unfortunately in my case, this plugin is not installed.
