This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty-One theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

I have tried doing that and thought I found the issue. I contacted the plugin author and he tried it without a problem. He suggested it could be the browser. I have checked further that it seems the problem is occurring on Firefox. I have disabled all addons on Firefox and have the same problem still. So not sure what to make of it.

Which version of Firefox? And, can you reproduce it in another browser, like Safari, Chrome, Vivaldi, or Edge?

Chrome, Edge, and Vivaldi seem ok. I used a desktop Windows PC, with no access to Safari.

I am using the latest Firefox 85.0.1 64-bit

I’m unable to reproduce the issue as described in Firefox 85.0.1 on macOS 11.2.

This _could_ just be a Windows thing, but that seems unlikely.

Are you sure you definitely tried with _all_ plugins switched off, and _all_ Firefox add-ons switched off (that includes any ad or tracker blockers)?

As I have mentioned, I did switch them off and it seems to work. I switched them on one by one and thought I found the plugin that caused the issue. But that wasn’t the case. The plugin author checked and it works in other browsers.

It is working with all the plugins turned on with other browsers but not Firefox. So this is very weird.

Do you have access to another Windows computer to check on?

OK. I just tried to access it with another computer(also Win10 64-bits), which is very clean. No addons or anything added to the Firefox. Same problem on Firefox. Now I am pretty sure it is Firefox.

Weird, I don’t have a Windows machine to test on, but if you can reliable produce this on Windows Firefox, I recommend reporting it back to the plugin’s developer.

I have the same problem (Firefox, Windows). Thanks to this post, I switched to Chrome and could add the user. Thanks.
