Unable to add new users because of error regarding password

To clarify, it is the password auto generator that is not working.

Let’s rule out a plugin and/or theme conflict. Switch to the twentysixteen theme and disable all plugins. If the problem goes away, turn things back on one at a time until you find the conflicting item.

Any javascript errors in the console when you’re adding a user?

No, after I click on Add New User, I receive the above error message. And when I click on Show password, nothing happens.

The problem seems to be with the password generating button. Has anyone had any such problems with this function?

Maybe there’s something in your browser that’s blocking it? Please try another browser or disable all plugins in your browser.

Do you use some sort of password manager (other than what’s built into your browser that allows it to remember passwords)?
