Since the lastes version op this plugin 2.0.26, visitors of our shop were unable to add product to cart. Well….some products went fine, other don’t. The add-to-cart button kept disabled.
After a refresh of the browser, we were able again to add the product to cart.

This seems like a caching problem. That’s what i thought too in the beginning. Even when I installed a new browser and didn’t saw the problem. Only on browsers where I had visit the shop before. This was true on desktop and mobile.

I disabled this plugin. After this action the problem was gone on all browsers. Desktop or mobile.

I still had an old backup of the shop with the older 2.0.24 version. Installed that on the shop and everything is fine again.

I saw another post with some similar issues with this version of the plugin. So don’t use version 2.0.26 but use 2.0.24 instead.

    Also…waiting for a fix.

    Thanks in advanced

    Roland

Thanks for reaching out to us. Can you please flush your server-side cache from the hosting panel settings? Please don’t flush the cache from the WordPress Dashboard.

If you have no idea how to do that, please, contact the hosting support regarding the server-side cache flushing.

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Thanks

    Hi Fizanvai,

Yes, I already had contact with my hosting company and they flushed everything what could be in relation with caching. I also flushed everything i could flush / empty related to caching. The problem was still there.

I had to switch back to the previous version. Too much lost in sales because of this (customers could not add their product to cart), then everything was alright again.

    Hi,
I had made a copy of the shop but could not reproduce it. That’s why i thought i must be a caching issue and contacted my hosting provider. They couldn’t see the problem either, but flushed everything.

It seems like that you had to visit the shop before with the V 2.0.24 of the plugin. That was the only way to see the issue. This seems true for desktop and mobile users.

I installed a brand new browser and didn’t saw the problem with V 2.0.26. On a browser visited the shop before with the older V 2.0.24 plugin (but V 2.0.26 installed), I saw the problem constantly.

I’m a developer and constantly clear my browser-cache.

Switched back to 2.0.24 and all worked perfectly.

Can you please give me a product link to check? Also, check the current jQuery version on your site. You can check the jQuery version from the browser console using jQuery.fn.jQuery.

The current jQuery version in WordPress core is 3.7.0. Also, check if you have added any CDN to load jQuery on your site. If you have added them, please remove them.

Hope to hear from you soon.

I can give you a product to check but it is very random. Please see for example https://www.sportnstyles.nl/product/airforce-bomber-jas-dames-lichtgrijs/

    jQuery version is 3.7.0

There was a jquery loaded from CDN
    async src=”https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.5.1/jquery.min.js”>

You have a console error: https://paste.pics/PDYQI

Can you please share which Swatches version is running on this page: https://www.sportnstyles.nl/product/airforce-bomber-jas-dames-lichtgrijs/

I have visited the link and successfully carted a product. It would be helpful if you contact us through our site for deep inspection.

Yes, i’m aware of those console errors.

2.0.24 is installed now and yes…you are able to add product to cart. When upgrading to 2.0.26 This is not possible. Well, you can add a few and the not anymore unless you refresh your browser. Then you can add the same product successfully to cart.

I’ll create ticket on the other site.

We have replied to you from our ticket system. The issue was from external jQuery version 3.5.1. So, we are closing this thread.

    Thanks
