• Hi,
I am currently facing an issue related to applying the “Fixed Background” effect when using a video as a cover in WordPress. I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter.

Description of the Issue: In my WordPress website, I am trying to achieve a visually appealing effect where the site appears to glide over a fixed background image or video as users scroll down the page.

While I have successfully achieved this effect with an image cover by toggling the “Fixed background” option on, I have been unable to replicate the same effect when using a video as the cover.

When I use an image I see the “Fixed Background” option in the media settings:

But when I use a video there is none:

Is there a way to apply the “Fixed Background” effect with a video?
    Regards,
    Ram

Hey @ramf – I agree that would be a cool effect to have the video remain fixed.

At the moment it’s not a function that is available – the fixed background option is limited to images only.

But it’s such a great idea – I’ve gone and opened a feature request to suggest it be considered.

Hi, I flew in here for the same reason. The Fixed Background feature for videos would actually be warmly welcomed! So I follow the path.
