    Hello;

    I’ve been running WP2DB on several of my WP installations without any problems for the last few months. After upgrading to version 1.5.1 (from version 1.4.X) of the plugin I was presented with an authorization screen even though the previous version was already authorized. When clicking on the ‘Authorize’ button a new window opens dropbox with a notice ‘The request to link the app is invalid.’ at the top and the authorization fails.

    I’ve attempted to use different browser / machine combinations, logged in / out, even unauthorized the app from dropbox and nothing seems to work.

    I don’t see a log file to check for an error and can’t see what I’m doing wrong. Is this an issue with the plugin or am I doing something wrong? Please help…

    Thank you in advance!

    dSq

    please help..

    Hi

    Even with 1.5.4 it did not work. I disabled the plugin. Logged out of dropbox (!). Enabled the plugin and authorised to DropBox. After logging in it was succesful

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks for posting your workaround. I believe this may be an intermittent issue with Dropbox and is only affecting a few users.

    I need to gather some more info so I can send a detailed bug report to Dropbox.

    Cheers,

    Hi,

    Alternative way that works:

    1- keep the plugin activated;
    2- in another window or tab, keep Dropbox account logged in;
    3- Update the plugin to the newer version;
    4- Go to wordpress dashboard sidebar WPB2D/Backup Settings;
    5- Click “authorize” button, you will be directed to the dropbox and get the known error;
    6- back to the wordpress tab and try again by clicking “Continue”, then you’ll see the error again, it also releases the authorization button again.
    7- click “authorize” and you’ll be redirected to dropbox authorization page again;
    8- click allow button;
    9- back to your wordpress tab and click “Continue”, than you’ll see the plugin working again.

    Hope it works for you too.

    Thanks Jason,

    This is really baffling and I cant seem to reproduce it consistently!
