Unable to change Permalinks of my Blog

    Hi,

    I am a developer and using wordpress for my many clients. I have a blog that I had setup 1 year back, now I am trying to change its permalink structure but I am getting 404 Page not found error. This blog is setup on Apache Server and have all the functionality that WordPress need to work. The URL of the Blog is: https://www.ecogreenhotel.com/blog/

    I have setup a test blog with same theme and plugins and it is allowing to update permalinks structure. The URL of test Blog is:
    https://www.ecogreenhotel.com/wordpress/

    Please help me to sort this problem ASAP.

  • delete the .htaccess in /blog
    reset your permalinks
    admin – settings – permalinks

    Hi samboll,

    Previously I was trying without a .htaccess and it was giving the same error.

    Is there anything else that I can work on?

    Give this a try…. Set the “Custom Structure” to “/index.php/%postname%”

    Hey.. that worked… Thanks for helping me out.. it is appending the index.php after /blog/, isn’t there any other way to display the pretty permalinks without index.php??
