Unable to change permalinks settings

  • I just installed a fresh version of WordPress in my newly created subdomain. I am unable to change permalinks settings.

    Currently, it is in plain structure. I changed it to post name and clicked Save changes.

    But, the page refreshes and still, the plain structure remains selected.

  • It’s possible your host doesn’t allow .htaccess file. The .htaccess files is required to create search friendly urls. Contact your host to find out.
