Unable to change price to zero

Hi.

Have you enabled Use variations only to construct final product price option on product edit page?

That checkbox is disabled/greyed out

Is your product a one-time payment type?

Yep

Try following:

1. Set product price to 0.

2. Click anywhere on the page for the price input to lose focus.

3. Use variations only to construct final product price checkbox should now be available.

4. Tick it and save the product.

Ah yes, I see. I wasn’t noticing the checkbox becoming available when the price field lost focus and was just hitting save. And of course clicking the checkbox after loosing focus doesn’t help, because it’s disabled.

Glad it worked and thank you for your report. I will create a ticket in our inner system to make this more obvious by making following changes:

1. The checkbox should be available right after the price has been changed to 0 or blank, not after loosing focus.

2. The checkbox should be greyed out along with its text, not just the tickbox itself. This should make it more obvious that it is available for enabling.

These changes should be available in the next core plugin version, which is coming sometime next week.
