When people use Social login their social avatar is used. When I try to change this avatar, nothing is happening. The avatar will disappear and the original uploaded one will appear only when I deselect “enable social avatar” option.

I would like to be able to switch between social avatars and uploaded ones. I use Kleo as theme.
Although I disassociate the social account, social avatar is stuck for ever.

Currently, the plugin is supposed to work like this. We will definitely improve this functionality in future.

Is this the same issue as above or something else? We are not sure what you mean by disassociate.

    Thanks for your prompt response.
Disregard the “disassociate” option on the social account linking page.

So How can I still use the “enable social avatar” option and deleted the social avatar for this user. (admin) I make a mistake and logged in as admin via FB instead normal login as always. Now my FB avatar is stuck and I need to remove it.
Might be a way to remove it and upload the old one.

    It’s a bit tricky.
You need to login to another admin account at your website. If there is not another admin account, you got to create one. Then login to that account and delete the account/user where avatar is stuck.
If you want to create the admin account you just deleted, you can create it again and delete the another account.
We will provide an option at profile page to remove social avatar to cope with these kind of situations.

Thanks. For the moment I have disabled “enable social avatar” option.

I’m looking forward to the remove social avatar option on profile!!

We will post in this thread when we include this feature in the plugin.

From plugin version 5.8.0, users (and admin too) can update their social avatar url from default profile page.

It doesn’t work for me. Social logged in users are unable to change their profile photo.

Your users would be able to see options at default profile page. See screenshot https://tinypic.com/r/147i9x/8

Just checking if there has been any resolve. If not, roughly when will the switch from social avatar to uploaded avatar be available from the front end for non-admin users.

    Cheers

This feature is there in the plugin. Please read our previous reply:

I don’t allow my users to see this area of the site – will future releases include any way to delete social avatars and upload new photos from the front end? Is there a hook or a temporary edit I can add on my end to make it work?

If you are using BuddyPress, you would be able to see Show option for users to update social avatar at BuddyPress profile page option in Advanced Configuration section at Super Socializer > Social Login page in admin panel.

    Thanks for the reply.
I am using Ultimate Member so i dont get the buddypress option of allowing front end changing of avatar. At the moment we are forced to remove the large and sqaure URL’s to allow them to change it. Was inquiring as to when this would be available for ultimate member or have your plugin grab and display the image but not save the url into the text box,(perhaps as a quick fix).

    Sorry for confusion
