    Hi,

An old (deleted) Gmail id ([email protected]) was there in my Mailchimp account when I installed and activated the Mailchimp for WordPress plugin in my WP website. On testing an opt-in form with my running Gmail id, I found that the email verification notification to new subscriber is going to Spam folder, with Gmail error message as:

“Gmail could not verify that it actually came from gmail.com”

So, I changed the email id to one attached to my verified domain ([email protected]) in Mailchimp. But the ‘from email id’ in email verification notification to subscriber is still showing as <[email protected]> via gmail.mctxapp.net.

I have tried deleting the plugin and reinstalling it, but the error persists. Please guide how to rectify it.

This is about the opt-in email? That email is send by MailChimp, not by our plugin. For issues with the opt-in email you should contact MailChimp support directly.

Only if you use the Premium add-on “email notification” feature the email is send via out plugin/wordpress, if that is the case you have the Premium plugin and thus I would recommend contacting us for Premium support by clicking the Help button on the right bottom of the screen when in our plugin settings.

Hope that helps. If you have any questions, please let us know!
