Clicking the ‘Add Media’ button or attempting to switch from the visual editor to the text editor does nothing.

    I’ve disabled all plugins.

    Cleared my browser cache.

    Cleared my Cloudflare cache.

Tried switching to Twenty Fifteen theme.

Reinstalled all WordPress files (with the exception of wp-config and the Content folder.

I’ve repaired the database and optimized it.

Seeing the issue across all browsers (tried Safari, Chrome, and Firefox).

Still unable to edit posts and it seems to take a very long time to load any page to edit.

Troubleshooting with your browser: Your browser can help you identify JavaScript issues or conflicts and this article can assist you in doing that diagnosis. This could help identify Visual Editor issues as well.

    Failed to load resource /wp-includes/js/wp-embed.js?ver=4.9

Reaching out to my hosting provider to see if they can identify why we’re unable to access that file.

    Also seeing:

SyntaxError: Can’t create duplicate variable: ‘typeMap’

Image of error and associated files.

I am having the same issue! I’m so frustrated. I’ve tried deactivating my plug-ins and it’s not helping. Did anyone find a solution?

Did get it resolved. Seemed my host may have been blocking some Cloudflare IP addresses. Had them whitelist all of them and it seems to have cleared up.

Here are their IPs. You can ask your host to be sure they’re whitelisted so none are blocked: https://www.cloudflare.com/ips/

You should also make sure that Cloudflare isn’t caching anything from /wp-admin/* as this can cause issues too.

As I said, I’m not sure this was the issue but it cleared up around the same time.
