Unable to commit to a plugin Im added as committer to

My team is trying to add my user as committer to a plugin in the repository, but Im still getting forbidden errors while trying to commit.

I seem to show up properly in committers and contributors:

But when i test by doing a minor commit to readme.txt at the trunk, i get a “Access to XXXXX forbidden’ error and no commit happens.

We tried various things which were recommended, including recommendation in below stack thread.

Is it maybe because some certain time needs to pass before it becomes active?

Or are we missing something completely?
