  • Pls help, I want to insert my adsense code into the header.php section of my blog https://www.goodmorningquotes.us but I keep getting
    ERROR MSG: Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP.

    Any help will be greatly appreciated

  • Would recommend that you install a plugin which will among other things add the adsense keys into the header, unless you are using a child theme editing the header.php file is most unwise, your changes will be lost in the next update.

    Presumably you have tried using the WordPress dashboard to edit your header.php file and for reasons of configuration or file permissions or something, the edit is failing. If you are determined to edit the file, you could login to your website hosting management control panel, and edit the file from there.

    I had this same php edit issue. Just tried Ross’ “edit via web host control panel” fix. I had to call our host’s tech support (brand new host so control panel was unfamiliar to me) and the rep walked me through the whole process…and the php edit was finally (after months!) fixed. It was so easy! Thanks for the suggestion and to our new host for the help implementing it.
