“Unable to communicate with Instagram.” message

  • Hi there,

    The plugin worked great for us until recently. We started receiving “Unable to communicate with Instagram.” message sporadically. Refreshing the page does not solve the problem (not sure if caching is involved). Hosting is the same, there weren’t any changes to the site. Were there any changes to instagram API that would affect this plugin?

    I’ve got a website on wordpress, and an other one on prestashop, different plugins
    was working well untill now, error 200 on prestashop

    prestashop:
    file_get_contents(https://api.instagram.com/v1/users/761806973/media/recent/?access_token=XXXXXX): failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request

    wooccommerce
    Instagram did not return status 200.

    Look like there is a problem with Instagram API?

    @dimchik can you try a different username or hashtag to see if that makes a difference. For it to be intermittent is unusual.

    @jcdarocha The prestashop error is odd and nothing to do with this plugin. From the looks at all these errors, your host blocks outbound requests.

    sometimes work, sometimes not

    I′m having the same error in the instagram widget, “Unable to communicate with Instagram.” and my instagram acount is open. I have already tried with other usernames and hashtags and the message remains the same.

    I’m having the same problem with the plugin, it displays a “Instagram did not return any images” error.

    However, this is only happening with the Instagram account that I want to use, I’ve tried using other usernames and it does work.

    Any Idea on what could be causing this issue?
