    Hi,

At the start of May, my images stopped compressing with your plugin. At the time others had the same issue; https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/image-smush-api/

When I try to compress an image I get the following messages:
    Missing header/body separator
There was an error connecting to the image compression server. This could mean either the server is temporarily unavailable or there are connectivity issues with your internet connection. Please try later.

    AND

cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received.
There was an error connecting to the image compression server. This could mean either the server is temporarily unavailable or there are connectivity issues with your internet connection. Please try later.`

I gave it a while and hoped it would resolve itself, it still hasn’t. I’ve paid a developer who couldn’t find a fault with wordpress or any conflicts with plugins – further proved by disabling all and having the same issue.

My host server has looked into it as well, and they’ve confirmed they are not blocking any request to connect to the smush server, and they found nothing wrong on the server to cause it either.

I’ve tried deactivating, deleting and reinstalling which made no difference. In the meantime I’ve been manually compressing images and then marking them as compressed, but I can’t get the same high level result as I did with your plugin, and though I still like the database feature, I miss using your plugin to compress images.

Do you have any ideas on what else I could try?

    Ps I also don’t have a firewall.
