Hi. I have a problem to connect the sitekit Plugin. Ive always get a error message that no data are transmitted. Looks like there is a REST API Error. But have no idea how to fix it. Plugin completly deleted, reintalled, reconnected but no solution.

    Health Check sais:

Site Kit cannot access the WordPress REST API. Please ensure it is enabled on your site.?Get help

The REST API is one way that WordPress and other applications communicate with the server. For example, the block editor screen relies on the REST API to display and save your posts and pages.

When testing the REST API, an unexpected result was returned:

    REST API Endpoint: https://seksupport.ch/wp-json/wp/v2/types/post?context=edit
REST API Response: (404) Not Found

Any idea how we can fi this?

    Thank you.

Thanks for reaching out @secc. Given that your Site Health status shows a REST API error, it’s not uncommon to encounter this notice when trying to set up Site Kit, as the plugin uses your WordPress REST API to communicate with your site.

To troubleshoot this further, please share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.??
    2. Can you visit your permalinks page (Settings > Permalinks) and press the “Save change” button? This will recreate a fresh .htaccess file for you, which may help with REST errors if this file was misconfigured or corrupted?
    3. Do you have any other WordPress sites on the same hosting platform, from which you can check does the same occur from?

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.
