Unable to create directory

    Hi I’m a newbie and struggling a little to get this set up.
    When trying to upload files I get the error below. I think from reading posts that it it could be related to permissions but not sure which or directory I should be looking for.
    Any help greatly appreciated

    Unable to create directory /var/virtual/web/w1093/html/wp-content/uploads/2007/07. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

  • Check your directory permissions. Probably need to change wp-content to 777, and if it exists, change wp-content/uploads to 777 as well.

    Hi Michael,
    Thanks heaps, found it – changed it – fixed it ??
    Simple I think i was getting a bit confused reading all the posts and making the problem bigger.
