• Good day. I’m using IIS 8 to render my WordPress site and am getting Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/2013/09. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    My IIS_IUSRS has read and write. What am I missing.

    – make sure wp-content/upload folder is writable (try 766, 767, or 777 permission).

    Important: Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK

    I’m having the same issue, can someone share where to change the permissions? I assume it’s somewhere in the FTP directory but don’t know.

    Thanks so much!

    @leesenderov,
    Please start your own thread per the forum guidelines: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Forum_Welcome#Where_To_Post
    Despite any similarity in symptoms, your issue is likely to be completely different because of possible differences in physical servers, hosts, plugins, theme, configurations, etc. Posting in an existing topic prevents from being able to track issues by topic. Also, It’s easier for volunteers to help you if you have your own topic. Thus, your own thread is likely to get more responses, specific to your issue. ??
