This week, something went kablooey, I suppose, as I’m no longer able to create new events.

I fill out the form, push “publish,” and … nothing is added to the Calendar. I check the link, and I get a 404 (see https://www.graceunitedchurch.org/event/worship/).

When “editing,” or even immediately after clicking “publish,” one finds that none of the previously entered data is in the form save for the Excerpt and Content (paragraph/descrption).

Screen shots of step-by-step are here at:

  • Hi @gbuck1230,

I’m sorry that you’re experiencing this issue. Have you tried testing for conflicts? This will help us rule out any conflicts from your theme or any other plugin in your site.

If this test doesn’t reveal any conflict, please send me your system information in a private response so I can check if anything is out of place in your calendar settings.

    Eugene –

Thanks. Apparently the “Enable Block Editor” was the culprit. ???

Dunno. Disabled it, and am able to create new events, again. (Thanks, Marta!)

@gbuck1230 I’m happy to hear that you found the culprit. The Enable Block Editor setting usually causes a conflict if your theme uses the classic editor by default on the add/edit events page.

I’ll go ahead and mark this ticket as resolved but please feel free to open a new one if you need further assistance.
