    This thread is referring to the issue of unable to create new gallery or unable to successfully upload images to gallery as of v1.9.10/v1.9.11Beta of NextGEN Gallery & WordPress v3.5.x . This thread is NOT referring to the ‘Page Refreshes/URI Too Large‘ error.

    If you are experiencing this error, please detail the below needed information + temp. login information in a Bug Report to us here. Thanks!

    – WordPress up to date?
    – NextGEN up to date? (Did this error begin as of v1.9.10 or v1.9.11Beta?)

    (please confirm the following, with your server host tech) :
    – MySQL up to date (5.2.4)?
    – PHP up to date (5.0)?
    – The mod_rewrite Apache module activated?
    – PHP Safe Mode OFF?

    and if you’re willing to share:
    – Who are you hosted with?
    – What theme are you running?
    – Which plugins do you have installed and activated?
    – Does this error still occur if you switch your theme to the WP default, and deactivate all plugins except NextGEN Gallery? (*be sure to clear your browser cache and reload your site after deactivating)

    We will likely have a fix for this in our next upgrade, but to be sure we do – we’ll need as much information as possible from those of you who are experiencing this bug.

    *Please do not post unrelated issues in this thread. This thread is specifically for the issue of being unable to create new gallery or upload images to gallery as of v1.9.10 upgrade/v1.9.11Beta & WP 3.5.x.

    Thanks!

  • A few days ago you said “Do Not Delete or you’ll lose info”. Too late, deleted and re-installed weeks ago for troubleshooting. That’s not the first time I deleted to troubleshoot, but it is the 1st time the data was lost.
    So now over 35 galleries and hundreds of pics must be imported AND labelled, AGAIN?

    Seriously?
    My apologies, I understand it’s a ‘free’ plugin, but when hours and days are wasted to re-do the work that took hours and days to do, the logical thing is to find a different plugin or even use wp native.

    Sadly, this is the week I really need those galleries with one of our biggest concert events of the year.

    @matthewnmartin – If activating other plugins causes the issue to occur again, can you let us know which plugin you activated that caused the error to come back?

    @femmefm – Very sorry to hear about this @femmefm – not sure how you were able to delete the plugin before without losing gallery data, but this is a part of WordPress cleanup functionality. Any plugin you select to delete, will also delete the data in the MySQL database. Much older versions of WordPress didn’t do this cleanup process, but recent, I think as of WordPress 3.2? Now confirms the deletion of both files + database information.

    Again, I’m very sorry to hear that all data and galleries were lost. We wish we could resolve this for you, please know we’re working our hardest to improve the plugin to be more smooth and stable and we feel our soon to be released upgrade will be a huge improvement. We hope to have v2.0 Beta available soon. Hopefully that’ll be a smoother ride and experience for you. If you choose to give it a try, please let us know how you like it.

    Dear photocrati,
    Actually this plug does nothing. It just creates folder in gallery and upload photos in that.Manage gallery and photo function does not work at all.

    @mayurranjan – Could you provide us with some more detail on the issue you’re experiencing? Does the error you see still occur with all plugins deactivated, theme temporarily switched to WordPress default Twenty Twelve, and then reactivate NextGEN Gallery only?

    Thanks!
    -Becky

    Thanks Becky!
    Actually problem was mod_rewrite which was not active.Now its working fine with twentytwelve. Created gallery and after that album and uploaded photo.Please tell me how can I view thubnailas in a row just above the slideshow so that I can view the photos chosen in click?

    Hi,
    I have the same problems by adding new galleries and no entry in this post helped me! Sorry, it′s not resolved!
    If I chose ?add images“ and try to upload a file, I receive an HTTP Error. If I chose ?import nextgen“ or ?import photocrati“ nothing happens!

    WordPress version: 3.5.1
    Photocrati version: 4.5.1
    NextGen Gallery version: 1.9.12
    NextGen Gallery Optimizer Premium: 1.12
    MySQL: 5.1.69
    WebServer: Apache/2.2.14 (Ubuntu)
    PHP version: 5.2.5
    PHP Safe Mode = off

    I’m hosted with ?Speicherhosting.de“

    Error still occur after turning the theme to default and deactivate all plugins except NextGen (browser cache was cleared and site reloaded).

    I need your help?

    @pitt71

    Try deactivating NextGen Gallery Optimizer Premium. I had to get rid of it because it caused me problems. Sorry to the Optimizer author, I know he or she checks these forums.

    Thank you DoubleSixx.
    I′ve already tested it. Doesn′t work. Today I′ve installed the new NextGen Gallery plugin version 1.9.13 and hope the problem is done, but it still remains!
    Any further proposals to resolve the problem?

    Help from NextGen would be welcome!

    I use following NextGen plugins:
    – NextGen Gallery v.1.9.13
    – NextGen Gallery Optimizer Premium v.1.1.2

    @pitt71

    Some people with recent problems have deactivated and reactivated the nggallery plugin and had there problems resolved.

    Good luck.

    @doublesixx

    I′ve read it in this post, but it doesn′t work for me.

    @pitt71

    Could you please try deactivating ALL plugins (including NextGEN) and then temporarily switch to WordPress default Theme. Switch to Google Chrome browser clear your browser cache, and reactivate NextGEN Gallery only. Please let me know if the problem is now gone.

    If it is gone, switch back to the Theme you were using and try uploading again. If the error comes back than you know it’s an incompatibility with the Theme you’re using. If it doesn’t come back, reactivate each one of your other plugins one at a time until the error come back.

    Hope that helps!
    -Becky

    Thank you for your work arround Becky. It works. And I realize, that I make a mistake “NextGen Gallery” to “New Photocrati Gallery / Album”. Sorry!
    The problem: I can′t upload by choosing the upload/insert option “New Photocrati Gallery / Album”. An this problem still remains. Can you help me?

    All workarounds i have tested don`t solve the Problem ??

    anyone have any suggestions

    NextGEN Gallery has stopped working.
    I am running WP 3.6 and NextGen version 2.0.14.

    At first I thought this was permission issue for a user, but even when I am logged in as an admin, most of the features don’t work from the Dashboard > Gallery.
    Clicking on Add Gallery/Images, other options, Gallery settings returns a blank page.

    I regret updating ??
    This plugin has been ruined!
