• I am having a huge issue with WordPress, which started last night. I cannot customize my homepage.

When I go to customizer, it states “You are customizing Edema“, yet right below that it says ” Active Theme is Verso“. Just that alone is a conflict. How can I customize a theme that isn’t even active, thus I cannot customize the active theme. This is the first time that I have experienced this since starting my wordpress site in 2014. What is going on? Please help as soon as possible, as this horrible issue is visible to my clients when they visit the website. All they can see is coding on the homepage.

  • From the front-end of your site, the active theme is “Verso”.

Before digging into this further, why don’t you completely remove this “Edema” theme and any other theme installed that’s not used (you can leave the default Twenty Nineteen theme).

I did remove the Edema theme this morning already. So, I can no longer see it in my themes at all. But, I am still having this issue.

I will remove all the others now

To clarify: That did not fix the issue.

There must be a problem with the currently enabled themes backend, how good are you at coding? there must be an issue with a plugin or outdated-theme

    OK, thanks for the update.

Next, please disable or completely delete the “TRX Addons” plugin, as this plugin came with the Edema theme which you’re no longer using. Ditto for any other plugin that was required by the Edema theme.

@thealanmat: Just in case you don’t know, any sort of solicitation or exchange of contact information is strictly forbidden here in these forums. If your idea to grow your WPPals.com website is to spam the official WordPress support froums, as you’ve done with all your 3 posts, you’re going to be banned in no time.

Thank you for letting me know, I didn’t found any explicit/open rule directing towards it. Not the direct motive though but still thanks for letting me know

@thealanmat: Yeah, I figured you simply did not know. You can find the forum guidelines here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/guidelines/

That said, note that your WordPress profile and Forum Profile are two places that you can promote your services. You’re free to write as much promotional stuff as you want, but I don’t see many people taking advantage of this:
