Unable to delete an Elementor widget or column using OceanWP theme

Hello –

I’m new to WordPress and Elementor. I’m using the OceanWP theme and I’m unable to delete columns or widgets. I’ve watched the Elementor video on this and followed the directions. Whether I use the Navigator or click on the pencil to edit, the option to delete never comes up for me to chose. I’d appreciate any suggestions.
