    Thanks for this nice plugin,

Since the latest version, in the backend the Contact Form 7 to Google Analytics Update message keeps popping up. Is there a way to dismiss this?

A click on the close button closes it for the moment but the message keeps coming back.

    Thanks!

It’s supposed to stay closed after you dismiss it. Could you open your browser’s Devtools, find the Console tab, try to dismiss the message, and send a screenshot of whatever’s in the console tab?

Nothing to show, there is no message in the console when i click close.
message dissapears but comes back after page load.

We use this plugin on 2 different websites. both have the problem.

Thanks for checking. Could you pull up an admin page, open the DevTools Network tab, and then try to dismiss the message? You should see admin-ajax.php show up in the network tab. Wait until it completes, then click on it to show more details. Can you take screenshots of the request headers and any response?

Don’t know how to send you a screenshot, but seems like https://…../wp-content/plugins/cf7-google-analytics/js/admin.js 0 ()
is not loaded, it states its blocked by the browser (Chrome).

Tested it with firefox and it seems to dismiss the message.

I use an adblocker? can this block a specific filename like admin.js?

Ah…that sounds like it’s the issue. It’s probably picking up on the “google-analytics”?part of the script URL and blocking it, thinking it’s a tracking script.

    A couple of potential solutions:

    • Whitelist the admin.js script in your adblocker
    • Temporarily disable your adblocker
    • Dismiss the message from another browser (or incognito mode) and it will be saved in the database and won’t show again

Yes, thank you. It is probably the reason.
We also disable analytics for admins, that could be the reason too.

    Thanks for the help!
