    Hey almadsen,

    We have an FAQ here which lists the common reasons for that error message and potential solutions to each one. #2 in that FAQ will include directions of how to find whether there is currently a restriction on your Facebook page.

    If you’re still having issues figuring out the problem then if you can send me your ‘System Info’ from the plugin’s ‘Support’ tab then I’d be happy to help.

    Yep, you can use the plugin on a local MAMP server. You would need to make sure that either cURL or allow_url_fopen is enabled in the php.ini file as at least one of those is required by the plugin.
