I have uploaded 3 PDFs and none of them show in the drop-down list.

The Permlinks that are created don’t point to the same place. The WP Docs Page is showing as /wpdocs-library/ and the uploaded documents create links pointing to /wpdocs-posts/.

I am also unable to get documents to show when there are subdirectories. I created a new directory with a subdirectory, added a file and it does not list the file. The directory shows (1) file but it is not listed in the 2nd drop-down list.

Add Main Directory –> Add Directory –> Add New Document –> Select “Add Directory” –> upload file –>Add Document.

    Hi,

You are the first user who is posting a thread here. May i have a look in your website where you are using it? Don’t worry about the slug, either its -library or -posts because it works fine with the shortcode [wpdocs]. Try it in any page.

    Thanks,
    Fahad

I’m sorry but you won’t be able to display/access it because it is an internal site that does not face the internet.
I used the shortcode to display it in a page. The link to download documents is not showing. The dropdown list appears but there are no documents to select.

I think skype session would be great then. You can share your screen with me and i will guide you accordingly.

Hey Fahad, thanks for the reply.

I am currently working on this with the OP and we turned on the debugging and attempted to create dirs and upload documents, which all seem to work just fine. But, when we attempt to go to WP-Docs in the front-end, this is when we run into trouble.

Between each click I wrote down the step I took and then copy/pasted the error that printed to the debug file.

I was going to copy and paste those results here, but it does not display correctly and would be pretty tough to read. So I uploaded the .txt file to Google docs and I am sharing that txt file in the link below.

I began each line with “—” for the Action that I took and then under each “—” line is the error messages that printed out after performing that specific action.

A little while ago we were somehow able to get to one of the Sub-dirs we created the other day and we could actually see the file in that sub-dir from the front-end, however I cannot seem to get there again… The steps and errors for this are also in that txt file at the very end.

We are running WordPress 4.4.2, PHP 5.6.9 and MySQL 5.6.28

    *Thanks in Advance

Also, forgot to mention it is a Multisite installation, if that matters.

    -Thanks

Multisite is not an issue, i love to have the errors log from you. Its really helping. I will fix it soon and update the next version.
But for now, please open your wp-config.php and do your wp_debug to false instead of true. Please mute these notices because you will be having trouble even with a single notice or warnings.
