@ellybrown Hello there. I’ll be happy to check on this for you, but could you please share the below details:

    1) Do you see any warnings or errors about REST API when checking your Site Health status (Tools > Site Health > Status)?

    2) Can you check if you get the same error in an incognito browsing window?

    3) Could you please check for any browser console errors when you get this message?

    4) If you like to provide your Site Health information I can check for any obvious plugin conflicts as well. You can share privately here if you prefer.

@luckynasan I’m having the same issue:

    Opening the story:

    Trying to duplicate the story:

    Hey Adam,

I do have this warning on the REST API- but not sure how to fix. Says this…
The REST API is one way WordPress, and other applications, communicate with the server. One example is the block editor screen, which relies on this to display, and save, your posts and pages.

@ellybrown Thanks for the information on the REST API warning. If you could also provide your Site Health Information via this private form then I get do some checks to see if there is anything obvious that could be causing this.

    just submitted it ??

@ellybrown thanks so much for sharing your Site Health Information. I can see that you have several active plugins on your site which leads me to believe this could be coming from a conflict with one or many of these plugins.

To check this could you please follow the steps in our troubleshooting guide which should highlight any plugin that could be causing this for you.

Once done please let me know how this went and if you managed to identify any plugin causing a conflict.

Okay, so I tried the troubleshooting mode, but as soon as I was in troubleshooting mode, it worked- I didn’t have to disable any plugins or try a different theme. I tried editing the story now without the trouble shooting it and it’s working fine!

@ellybrown When activating the troubleshooting mode this will deactivate all plugins other than the Web Stories plugin just for admin users. Since you have confirmed that doing this has cleared the issues you were having, this means that one or more of your plugins were causing a conflict.

To find out which plugins these are you will need to activate each one at a time while checking your Web Stories until you find the plugin causing the problem. Let us know if you find the culprit.
