Unable to edit email placeholders in settings

Like many of your other users, I’m unable to edit the placeholders in my emails. I do not receive an error message, the edits simply do not save.
PS – Yes, I’m using the most up to date version.

We’ve transferred email templates from the WP options to the template files because the size of the templates can be quite large.
When you edit email template using wp-admin screen UM->Settings->Email it is saved in the new folder in your theme/child-theme (e.g. “wp-content/themes/twentyseventeen/ultimate-member/templates/email/welcome_email.php”)
This means that all templates are stored in one place and files can be easily edited, however, it is essential to use a child theme because the parent’s theme update will overwrite and delete your custom email templates (if they are stored in your parent theme).
Please also never edit template files inside a “wp-content/plugins/ultimate-member/templates/email/” you will lose your customizations on Ultimate member updates.Regards.
