Unable to edit header/footer Style/Layout after WP 5.6

Are you using any other plugins? Could you please check if any of them is interfering and causing this?

We setup a test WP with Neve 2.9.1 and WP 5.6, problem is reproducible.

Server1 PHP 7.3.19
Server2 PHP 7.4.12
Server3 PHP 7.4.13

Hi, I am having the same issue with the header, footer and buttons sections. ‘Layout’ and ‘Style’ tabs are not working.

WP 5.6, Neve 2.9.1, PHP 7.4.1. I can also reproduce the issue on a fresh local WP install with no additional plugins.

I have the same issue, Elementor Pro v.3.0.8, Elementor v.3.0.14, WP v. 5.6, PHP v. 7.3.25.

Hi there,

I’m trying to understand the issue so I can replicate it. I’ve just realized, you are all using Elementor? And have issues editing the header and footer created using Elementor PRO not the header and footer created using the builder provided by Neve?
From what I’ve seen on the Elementor support forum, it seems there are some issues with Elementor and the latest WP 5.6 https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/elementor/

@themeisle my test setup was:
* WordPress 5.5.3
* Neve 2.9.1
* Elementor

Upgraded this setup to WP 5.6 and footer/header stops working.
Remove then all Plugins, still not possible to edit footer/header.

Anyway an Elementor issue?

I’m not using Elementor.

Its not only header and footer elements, its all other elements that normally shows in the “Edit with Elementor” menu, like pop-ups, singles etc.

Are you using the latest version of Neve ( 2.9.1 )? as in that version we’ve fixed exactly what you mentioned, which is a compatibility issue with WP 5.6, the latest update.
