Unable to edit in whole site

  • Hi

    I’m having trouble with saving changes done throughout the entire site. Whether I’m updating options in a plug-in or admin, edit text in a post or page it won’t save the changes. It seems to come and go without any logic.

    I’ve deleted any inactive plug-ins but can’t check the ones that are active since I’m not allowed to do changes.

    Any tips?

  • Have you checked your server’s error logs? There could be an issue with your host’s database server.

    No, I haven’t but it comes and goes with short intervals. It’s been going on for some days now… like there was some activated time schedule or something.

    I’m running WP Maintenance Mode. Could that affect the site in any way?

    Unlikely. If it was going to create a problem, it’s unlikely that it would be intermittent. It does sound more like the situation you can get when a server is under too great a load. Then error log might show something along the lines of “MySQL server gone away”.

    Yes. Your hosts should be able to tell you how to access it.
