    Great plugin!

The plugin works great except on one page. On that page, I have a js function that is generating an error in the console when I go to this url to edit the page:

    …/post.php?post=19572&action=edit

To fix the js error, I have to remove the js function from the page. But I can’t edit the page because PageBuilder is not showing the SiteOrigin Editor panel that has the Edit button. PageBuilder isn’t showing the SiteOrigin Editor panel because of the js error.

In simple terms, I have to remove the js function but I can’t edit the page because of the js function is generating an error.

    Any suggestions? Thank you

    Hi, thanks for reaching out.

If possible, please, could you open the browser console and take a screenshot of the error? You can upload screenshots to imgur.com or any similar sharing site like Dropbox and send the link.

    Thanks again.

Thank you for your reply, Andrew.

In Chrome the console error is: Uncaught TypeError: $ is not a function

The script causing the error is:
    <script type=”text/javascript”>$(“.loss”).click(function(e){$(“.button-main”).addClass(“less_space”);});</script>

I had added this script to the page by using the SiteOrigin Editor. I was able to edit this page using SiteOrigin Editor many times with this script included on the page. Recently, I started getting this js error that prevents me from editing the page using SiteOrigin Editor. In other words, this js error is a new issue but the script causing the error has been on the page for a long time.

Also, the page on the frontend does not have any js errors. Only on the backend (i.e. WordPress admin) do I get this js error.

The site is running these version:
    Page Builder 2.14.0
    Widgets Bundle 1.23.1
    jQuery 3.6.0
    jQuery Migrate 3.3.2

    Thanks again

Thanks for the update. When able, please, try running a plugin conflict test. Temporarily deactivate all plugins except for:

    Page Builder
    Widgets Bundle
    jQuery Migrate

Temporarily deactivate all but the above plugins. Does the JS error persist in this state?

(It sounds like something has changed…perhaps we can find the cause.)

Great suggestion, Andrew. The conflicting plugin that’s causing the issue is Duplicate Page version 4.4.4

To temporarily fix the issue, I downgraded that plugin to Duplicate Page version 4.4.1

This issue may be related to these:

@duplicatepagesupport mentioned that they’ll release an update soon. Once their update is release, I’ll check if it resolves my issue. Until then, I’ll use Duplicate Page version 4.4.1

Thank you for your excellent support, Andrew!

Hi. Thanks for the detailed update. I’m really glad to hear you’ve made progress. Thanks for posting your feedback here. In the short term, if you wanted to reactivate Duplicate Page, you could perhaps try the hotfix Alex mentions at the below link:

As SiteOrigin queries or requests arise in the future, please, let us know.

The issue is permanently resolved by updating the Duplicate Page plugin to version 4.4.5

@duplicatepagesupport resolved the issue with this latest update.

Thank you again for the excellent support, Andrew!
