Unable to edit pages on fresh install

  • I have a brand new install on AWS EC2 using the Bitnami WordPress + Nginx + SSL AMI and have freshly installed WP Ocean from the themes repo. However even with a fresh install I am unable to use elementor to edit pages. I have confirmed that elementor and wordpress are up to date (no pending updates). This is my third install using this setup and all 3 attempts have failed to work.

    I am looking for assistance on how I can get it so I can edit pages using elementor like the theme is designed for.

    Below are some more details:
    WordPress version: 5.6
    Elementor Version: Does not show in plugins page
    Ocean WP install date: Jan 27 2021
    Ocean WP version: 2.0.2 – confirmed latest as tried downloading from website and same version

    Please let us know what exact issue are you facing with it, if possible share the snapshot of the issue.

    and would you be so kind and go to Elementor > System Info and share the report with us so that we can take a look.?

    Hi I managed to solve this issue just now with some help from Reddit, I guess elementor was having issues due to using HTTPS compared to HTTP due to the site url having HTTP. Looks like it is fixed but will know in a bit when I test out fully.

    and you can also try the Really Simple SSL plugin, that could help you with it.
