    Hi,

So this error has been popping up and I’ve tried the different methods listed online to get it fixed. But I really haven’t made any kind of changes on my website. I don’t have any background on coding and website building (not tech savy at all) in general and I’m also the only user of the site. I’ve basically removed the woocommerce plugin as it was getting annoying. But I want to give it once more chance and fix it up.

Any help would be kindly appreciated.

    Hello @azaleaam,

I understand this issue can be quite annoying, can you take a look at this thread where there is a reference to a troubleshooting tutorial for this error and other useful information?

    Hi Mirko,

This is the thread that I mentioned that I looked at but didn’t really work out for me.
It’s also too technical for me, unfortunately.

    kind regards.

    Hi there,

Thank you for getting back and sorry to hear it didn’t work for you.

In order for us to take a closer look, could you please share the following?

    • Your System Status: You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.
    • Fatal Error Log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce > Status > Logs (if available).
    • Screenshot of the page with the error message: I recommend https://snipboard.io for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL here. It works with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

    Thanks!

    Hi Mirko,

Is the system status on the wordpress admin page? Because there isn’t any other menu that pops out when I mouse over woocommerce.

    Thanks.

    Hi @azaleaam,

When you’re hovering over or click the WooCommerce admin menu tab you should see these sub-menu items.

If it’s not like that, change the browser or use incognito/private mode. Try from a different computer/network. Lastly, remove and reinstall WooCommerce. Here’s a useful guide.

I would recommend taking a full backup before making changes, to be on the safe side. That’ll enable you easily restore your site to the previous/functional state in case something goes wrong.

    Cheers.

    Hi Mirko,

The drop down menu from the admin tab of woocommerce does not show up. Truth be told, i’ve already uninstalled and re-installed the woocommerce plugin several times and the menus still doesn’t appear. I’ve also tried opening in incognito and using a different network.

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

Well, there seems to be a deeper problem with your installation. I would start by duplicating the site so you can perform tests without affecting your live site.

Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin. Link: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-staging/.

Then, once you’ve set up your staging site, I suggest disabling all plugins and leaving only WooCommerce enabled. Can you see the WooCommerce menu at this point? If not, the following step will be making a fresh install of WordPress. Follow the guide here to correctly reinstall WordPress.

    Best.

    Hi Mirko,

I’ve created the staging site and woocommerce seems to be working fine here. I’m able to access everything. I haven’t made any changes with any of the plugins either. So I’m not sure where the error is coming from.

    thank you.

    @azaleaam

Seems we might be having some permission issues here. You can address this by setting permissions for your WordPress files. You can ask your host to help using the guide below:

    Changing File Permissions

    I hope this helps!
