Unable to edit profile

Whenever I click on edit my profile (under Howdy, USERNAME)the process does not go through and on the tab in the tab an ‘l’ appears and the url reads mydomain.net/interactions/groups/1/. However, clicking on the interactions menu and choosing groups everything loads perfectly. If I go into the dashboard and choose to edit a profile it seems to work. I am not able to change the display picture though.
