• I recently upgraded to 3.1. Everything went fine except for one thing, when I go and try to edit my front page which I have on a template page, when I click on the “edit” button for that page it sends me and error.

Error 500 – Internal server error
An internal server error has occured!
    Please try again later.

The page it self displays just fine in the browser.

all other pages work just fine.

Any help on who to get my page “edit” option to work again would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Have you tried:

    – checking through Troubleshooting WordPress 3.1 – Master List

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Thanks, I have installed the contact form 7 plug in and I’ve detected that, that is the plug in that is causing the problem, but now, how do I fix the problem??
