Unable to edit website

  • Hello,

    For the last few days I have been unable to edit the pages in my website https://www.eastgymnastics.com.au. The website works fine on the front end. Yet when I click on the page I want to edit on the back end I get a message “Loading, please wait” in the Visual Composer box and it never actually loads.

    I have tried this on both Chrome and Safari on my computer (Macbook) and also on a different computer with the same result.

    I am using an old version of X Theme (2.6.0) but I am nervous to upgrade it as I haven’t used child themes (I am a novice user) and now I can’t even access the customisations I have used to check I won’t lose them.

    Is this a temporary WordPress issue or is there something drastically wrong with my site?

    Since Visual Composer is a commercial plugin, we ask that you please go to their official support channel, so you can get support from the people who know it best.

    Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why it is not working properly. Other community members who may have faced your issue might be able to help you but your best bet is your product’s developer. Keep in mind we encourage you to use the official support venues, as it allows the developers to be aware of issues with their code and gives back to the community in a more robust way.

    As your site frontend is running absolutely fine, so its difficult to say anything by looking it.
    If you are not been able to edit a page, theme is not the culprit I guess. According to me, visual composer is creating the issue. Please ask your query in that plugin support. It will help you more.
