Unable to Enable Comment Box

  • We have created a site using the Twenty Ten theme. We used to be able to select or deselect the “enable comments” and the comment box would either display or not display at the bottom of the page.

    For some reason, this feature is not working now. Despite selecting “enable comments” on certain pages — we cannot make that box display so folks can post a comment. I even added <?php comments_template(); ?> to both page templates (the default, plus the one-column template) and still no comment box displays at the bottom of the page.

    We used to be able to turn it on and off and on and off with ease — what is going on?
