Unable to get a comments section on certain pages

    Hi, I’ve been playing around with my pages to try and get a comments section on certain ones for a while now.
    I have successfully got a comments section to appear on every post I make.
    I have successfully got the comments section to appear on a page.
    However there are two other pages I want a comments section on, and doing the exact same steps for the page that did work, I cannot get these two to have a comments section.
    I have checked the correct boxes in Settings – Discussion, and on the individual pages I have the ‘Show comments section’ box checked also.
    Any help would be great! Thanks.

  • Which theme are you using?
    And have you selected template on that page that don’t show comment?

    I think the page that don’t show comment section because there template file don’t have comments enabled

    Thanks for getting back to me.
    I am using the AccessPress Mag theme. When it comes to template in the drop down menu, the page that works is ‘Default Template’, whereas one of the failed pages is on ‘Elementor full width’ and the other doesn’t have a drop down box for template (i’m referring to the drop down menu for template under the ‘Page Attributes’ tab on the edit page.)

    So do you think if I want comments I would have to change the Elementor one to default? And if so, what would I do for the one with no template?

    and on which page comments are not showing ? is it home ? or Blog page?

    Hey, thanks a lot.

    Changed the template from the elementor one to default and that fixed that page. Regarding other page there is still no drop down menu for a template.

    For future reference, none of the pages I want comments on are home page – and the page that wont give drop down menu to select a template is a ‘Posts page’ – the page I selected for all my posts to go to.

    For me I was more concerned with my other page than this posts page, so am very satisfied with the outcome.
