• admin-ajax 400 error when simply inserting an image from media library.

Fresh WordPress install as of today’s date, latest version, installed via WP Toolkit in cPanel. No plugins, default Twenty Twenty Four WordPress Theme.

    Tried with multiple php versions.

When classic editor is enabled, upon clicking “Insert Image”, we return to the edit page screen from the media pop-up, but the image is not inserted and there is no visible error or result. Clicking update from there causes the page to crash completely.

When classic editor is disabled, inserting an image from media library and saving works without any problems.

    Hi there,

That’s odd as it works as expected from my end.

Based on what you shared, it looks like an object cache issue. Can you confirm if maybe your hosting/cPanel adds an external object cache to the page that you could flush?

Also, does this work with other themes? Considering that Classic Editor wasn’t designed to work with block themes, I wonder if that’s related.

I have the same issue on updated (6.4.3) WordPress site with simple Blogito theme (https://blogonyourown.com/themes/blogito/).

Interestingly, when I select the “Media library”, choose desired image and copy its URL to clipboard and next I use “Add from URL to post” option in Media library and paste to post image link previously copied to clipboard from the media library, the image appears. Very strange.
