    Hello,

    In extension to many threads like this one, I have been trying to connect my self-hosted WordPress site to Jetpack. I’m getting this error after clicking the connect button:

    Unable to insert blog. Please try again or contact support.

    I’ve already tried to re-install the plug-in. My site is on a sub domain (see link).

    Could you please help me out? Thanks in advance.

    Can you contact your web host and check to see if they’re blocking or otherwise limiting incoming and outgoing connections over XML-RPC?

    Jetpack, the WordPress mobile apps, and some other plugins and services use this file to communicate with your site, but some hosts block connection requests to that file, or limit the connection rate. Jetpack needs an unlimited connection to your site’s xmlrpc.php file.

    Thanks for your reply. They do not block it. Good to know is that I’ve connected this site multiple times before.

    It may also be useful to say that I have WordPress installed in a wp subdirectory, but the site is accessible from the root.

    I haven’t disabled/deleted xmlrpc.php manually/via a plugin/via .htaccess.
