unable to insert images to page or post

  • Hi, I have a fresh WP installed without any plugins or templates. I’m unable to insert images to the post or page.

    Following does work:
    I can upload image to the media
    I can set feature image
    I can add text to a page or post

    Also, I do have another WP instance installed on the same server that is working 100% under a different folder. I’m adding another WP site under www but with different folder.

    Any help appreciated.

    Follow the given below steps to debug the code:-

    1- Are you getting any error message while inserting image in post/page content through the wordpress editor?

    2- Check the browser error log by pressing F12 key > Console tab .

    3- Check the server error log. Hosting provider will provide you error log detail.

    4- Please make sure that you are using the latest version of wordpress, themes and plugins.

    5- Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    6- If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the default theme for your version of WordPress to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Hi mdshak,

    No error messages while inserting image. i just get no action. Nothing happens after selecting the image and clicking on button to “Insert into post”

    No browser errors when using f12
    no plugins are installed
    no theme, using default theme

    However, I did discover something new. I have access to the server and when I use the browser at the server and edit page, I’m able to add image to the post or page.

    It appears my issue happens when I use WP admin page from anywhere els.
