Unable to insert new or images from media library

    hi guys
    apologies if someone has already created a post yesterday i was unable to insert new images or even take an image in the media library. First I believed it was just because I was close to maximum space in my hosting but Ive upgraded today and it’s still doing the same thing. The window pops up but its just constantly buffering not showing anything.

    The site in general is working fine I can still create posts but with no images which is a little tricky as I run a movie blog and I need images in posts.

    Any pointers, tips, advice would be appreciated, a big thanks in advance

    Ive just deactivated all the plugins and the issue is just the same, any help will be great and thank you in advance!

    Do you get any error message when you upload image like HTTP Error or Size error?

    many thanks for reply,
    no message, just the insert media box pops up and the little grey loading circle appears but when I click and write in the box for to find an image from the library nothing happens its as if no images are there at all, been running via wp.org for about 3 years now its as if no images are there at all

    just not letting me insert any images at all, let me know upload to library but not to post including ‘featured image’

    I’m having the same issue, the upload progress line gets about quarter of the way and then freezes. Not good.

    everything was fine for me right up until yesterday when my co-editor attempted to insert images, its as if the media library has been deleted

    It’s a server issue I tested one of my other websites hosted on a different server. WP 4.1 version uses ImageMagick software for image upload however default settings for PHP5 will prevent it from being executed through a PHP script, so this needs to be enabled. Now to find out how, lol!

    excellent, ive contacted someone who may know he helps with the scripting of my site and my other (which is blogger site) see if we can shed some light, if he does ill let you know

    If your server uses open_basedir restrictions you need to add a line of code to the php.ini file to enable it, on MediaTemple it’s open_basedir = /nfs:/tmp:/usr/local:/etc/apache2/gs-bin:/usr/bin/convert I haven’t tested this yet, fingers crossed!
