Unable to install new plugin through admin

  • I’m getting error An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to www.ads-software.com. Please contact your server administrator.) in ****/wp-admin/includes/plugin-install.php on line 158 in Add plugins area. Please let me the solution.

  • I was having similar problems about a week and a half ago while running wp v4.4.2 and wound up needing to reinstall the core WP files to fix it.

    You can either do this manually or through the wp-admin on the updates page.
