  • Hi @simoaxo

It looks like you are having trouble being able to connect Facebook to WooCommerce after an update.

I have just updated the plugin facebook for woocormerce to the latest version, when i want to link the plugging to my facebook page, the select button is disabled and it says ‘Contact the admin of business for permission to connect this Page’

You also mention that you have admin-access here:

But in reality I have all the admin access for the page and business account.

We definitely appreciate the screenshots you sent to illustrate the issue as well, thanks for sending those over for us.

Facebook can be very particular about permissions when connecting the plugin. Even while marked as an administrator, you do need to ensure you have permissions set to edit/access all assets on the Facebook page in order to connect. It looks like in the screenshot you sent us, that you have one asset that is not enabled.

You can view your permissions in the Facebook Business Manager

    Hello,

thanks for your replie, i have tried that but still the same problem.

But the way : i use the appropriate account on Facebook (the one with administrator/ownership permissions set) when attempting to reconnect to Facebook.

    Hello @simoaxo ,

Just to clarify, you did not create these pages but only managing them, right?

Can you please navigate to the Facebook Business Settings – Pages area, select the Page in question, go to the People tab, and ensure the name is listed there with the Manage Page toggle enabled.

These steps can also help Request Access to a Page in Business Manager

You can also try after resetting the Facebook settings manually from your site:

    – Deactivate Facebook for WooCommerce plugin from Plugins > Installed Plugins page.
    – Navigate to your WordPress options page: https://your-site-address.com/wp-admin/options.php and then please clear the value for the following fields, then save the changes

    wc_facebook_access_token
    wc_facebook_external_business_id
    wc_facebook_system_user_id
    wc_facebook_business_manager_id
    wc_facebook_commerce_merchant_settings_id
    wc_facebook_merchant_access_token
    wc_facebook_product_catalog_id
    wc_facebook_page_access_token
    wc_facebook_page_id
    wc_facebook_pixel_id

    – Activate the Facebook for WooCommerce and follow the instruction here to configure the plugin again.

Let us know how it goes.

    Thank you ??

    Hello,

I have tried these 3 solutions but no luck i still get the same problem, maybe because it is not me who has created this page, i am just managing it which causes this problem.

maybe because it is not me who has created this page, i am just managing it which causes this problem.

I think you might be right here. ?? Even in our internal documentation on this error, it says that this issue can “be caused when an admin of a page’s Facebook Business Manager is trying to connect a page they’re managing but they haven’t created it themselves or they’re not the owners.”

Would it be possible for you to have the actual creator/owner do the connection maybe?

OK i see, but the problem is that the facebook business account of the actual creator the page has been disabled by Facebook, so i don’t think i have any solution here.

Yeah, there isn’t much else you can do here because Facebook requires the creator of the page to do this.

The only solution I can see here is creating a new Facebook page and connect that, then see if it is possible to merge the pages together.

I hope you can find some way to resolve this.

    Kind regards.

    Hey?@simoaxo,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can reopen it again if you need be.
